Tyla Wins Her First Grammy Award
Tyla Laura Seethal, better known as Tyla, has received her first Grammy Award. Tyla won the title of “Best African Music Performance” for her chart-topping track “Water.”
She accomplished this achievement by overcoming “Amapiano” by ASAKE & Olamide, “City Boys” by Burna Boy, “UNAVAILABLE” by Davido Featuring Musa Keys, and “Rush” by Ayra Starr to win.
Tyla is currently considered one of South Africa’s most successful performers. Her Truth or Dare single is climbing the charts and wins like this might confirm her position in the international music industry.
with this win, she becomes the youngest African to win a Grammy award. It’s also her first award on the intercontinental scene.
