The singer is one of four musicians nominated for Best African Music Performance.
Tyla’s blockbuster song “Water” from 2023 earned her a prestigious nomination.
She, together with Musa Keys, are the only South African singers nominated in the aforementioned category, while all other nominees are Nigerians.
Asake and Olamide were nominated for their song Amapiano, Burna Boy for City Boys, Davido and Musa Keys for Unavailable, and Ayra Star for Rush.
